Dappy, a little dog, resided in a quiet area of town, snuggled between bustling streets.
She was probably five months old, but her little form appeared even smaller since she was starved and unwell.
Dappy’s fur was patchy and thin, exposing her to the elements. Her eyes had been blurred by tiredness and hunger.

She makes friendly exiles by wagging her tail. Dappy’s existence has been a sequence of awful days, defined by hunger, chilly nights, and a never-ending battle for survival.
Despite her difficulties, Dappy clung to life with tenacity. She rummaged through the trash for anything vaguely appetising – abandoned bits, crumbs, anything that may help satisfy her rumbling hunger.
