All across the world there is an overcrowding epidemic at animal shelters. Animals of all ages, shapes, and sizes are up for adoption with not many interested people in them. In Brazil, there are thousands of animal shelters with a huge overcrowding of animals.
People are spending way too much money purchasing a purebred animal rather than adopting an animal. A company known as Quatro Patinhas has created a new program called Priceless Pets, with the hope to help change people’s perspective on what type of animal might be perfect for their home.
They set up a hidden camera in a pet store and brought in animals from the shelter and they listed them as, “For Sale”. Their purpose was to prove to the public that sheltered animals need love too.
They brought so many adorable animals into the pet store for people to come and shop for their new family pet.
They covered the store with hidden cameras as people started to shop. Without any type of questions about the breed of dog, people would come in and ask for a specific animal.

To their surprise the animal was free of charge, since it was up for adoption, not for sale.
Most customers were shocked at the surprise.
And many didn’t believe what was happening.
But what matters is that these animals found forever homes.
Without even costing them a penny.

I love the way the people reacted to such a simple gesture. It goes to prove that you don’t need to spend thousands of dollars on an animal when there are some amazing sheltered animals that need your love and affection too.
